Missing Teen Found Dead, Fairfield Police Say

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 19-year-old reported missing in Fairfield is dead, according to police. Bryce Costawong was located and found to be deceased about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Fairfield police said in an update to a Facebook post about the search for Costawong.

"There is no indication of foul play or threat to public safety. This incident continues to be under investigation," the update said. "... We ask that everyone respect the family’s privacy during this most difficult time."

Costawong had last been seen about 11 p.m. Tuesday near High Ridge Road and Newport Place in Fairfield when police Wednesday evening sought the public's help to find him. The police department posted photos of Costawong on its Facebook page, along with a description of his appearance, what he had been wearing and locations he was known to frequent.
