Fairfield firefighters quickly got a car engine fire under control Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of Stillson Road and Mayfair Road around 12:24 p.m., according to the Fairfield Fire Department Facebook page.

Engine 2 and Ladder 2 arrived on scene within minutes and confirmed no one was in the vehicle. They then gained access to the engine compartment and quickly extinguished the fire with no reported injuries.
