East Farms Spring Ahead 5K and Fun Run Postponed
An overnight snowfall cause event organizers to postpone the scheduled race and fun run in Farmington.
FARMINGTON, CT - The East Farms Spring Ahead 5K and Fun Run scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Organizers of the event posted the postponement notice on their website, www.eastfarmsspringahead5k.itsyourrace.com.
"Over the past few days and hours, we've been monitoring the weather. For the concern and safety of our participants, as well as volunteers, we have decided to cancel today's event. Our website will be updated with additional information as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience and support of this community event."

A Fun Run and Fitness Walk had been slated to begin at 12:15 p.m., with a 5K race scheduled to follow at 1 p.m.
