Mike Demicco Spends Labor Day Meeting with Farmington Residents

Mike Demicco Spends Labor Day Meeting with Farmington Residents

Mike Demicco, who is running for state representative in the 21st Assembly District, vowed to fight to help grow and retain Connecticut jobs.  Demicco spent Labor Day campaigning door-to-door, meeting Farmington residents.

“Even though it is Labor Day, talking with people about what issues concerns them most will make me a better State Representative,” said Demicco, a longtime town Councilman and education advocate who has been endorsed by the Connecticut Education Association.

“It was great to talk to Mike face-to-face. He really understands the issues and will do a great job as State Representative,” said Eileen Bland. “Mike taking the time to come to my house really shows he cares.”

“I will work hard for working families,” Demicco said. “Every year, families are working harder and harder and finding it more and more difficult to make ends meet.  This is about helping working families thrive, not just survive.”

Demicco noted that investing in manufacturing, health care and job training are top priorities.

“I have a strong working relationship with the people who set the agenda at the State Capitol.  I am confident I will hit the ground running and move forward on these important issues for working families.”

According to a recent  survey by the Pew Research Center, the nation’s middle class is shrinking. Over the past decade, median household income dropped from $72,956 in 2000 to $69,487 and median net worth fell from $152,950 to $93,150.

“We need to stop the decline of working families and the middle class. That’s why this election is so important.  We need people in state and federal government who will fight for Farmington and the families that have always been the backbone of our great nation.”
