A pair of 19-year-olds were arrested Wednesday after a night of alleged drinking and mischief.

According to police, officers were called to the area of Cedar and Canterbury Lanes around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for a possible accident. When they got there, they found several stop signs missing from the area and a wooden light pole had been knocked into the street.

Police determined the damage had been done by Peter Rutkowski, 19, of 33 Mohawk Drive, Unionville and Matthew Conklin, 19, of 20 Canterbury Lane.

Both were charged with second-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and possession of alcohol by a minor

According to police, a third minor was issued a town code violation for possession of alcohol by a minor. Police said they recovered the signs.
