The annual Glastonbury schools calendar art show is open beginning today in town hall, showcasing work from 15 students from around the district.

The Glastonbury Board of Education is hosting a reception and public presentation of the artwork at 7 p.m. outside the town council chambers at town hall before the board’s meeting. Refreshments will be served, and an award ceremony will be held for the participating artists will take place at the beginning of the school board’s meeting.

The show represents the art from 15 students from around the district whose artwork is published in the 2012-13 school calendar. All schools and grade levels are represented in the art show, including student work from the town’s elementary schools, Smith Middle School and Glastonbury High School.
