3 Teens Busted for Greenwich Car Break-ins
A resident called Greenwich Police after seeing the trio enter a neighbor's car, police say.

Three teens are facing burglary charges after an alert resident called Greenwich Police to report the trio had entered his neighbor’s parked car.
According to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, “The witness was watching them for some time and saw them go into two separate vehicles on Locust Street in central Greenwich” shortly before 1 a.m. Sept. 21. “At some point they got spooked when inside one of the cars and ran. The resident called 911 and they were found a short distance away” at the intersection of Davis and LeGrande avenues, Gray said.
Feras Halabi, 19, of 23 Pierce St., Fairfield, and a 16-year-old juvenile, also from Fairfield, each face two counts of third-degree burglary. A 17-year-old boy from Stratford also faces two counts of third-degree burglary and an interfering with police charge.

Halabi was held in lieu of $1,500 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford. The two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and scheduled to appear Oct. 2 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
