Boys Descend on Camp Seton for FUN Day
Greenwich Fall 2014 Cub Scouting season kicks off with CUB FUN DAY activities at Seton Scout Reservation.

Climbing and archery, tug-of-war and s’mores - Cub Scouts and friends recently took over Camp Seton for the annual Greenwich CUB FUN DAY event. All of the fun stations showcased what Cub Scouting is about - offering exciting activities while helping build lifelong friends, unforgettable memories and teaching important lessons in teamwork and “doing your best”.
Boys can join a Cub Scout Pack at any time during the year. There are currently eight Cub Scout Packs spread all over the town of Greenwich. Many Packs are associated with local elementary schools and all Packs are chartered by local organizations. Cub Scouts (boys in grades 1st through 5th) are part of Packs that meet monthly as well as Dens where the boys are divided into smaller groups of Cubs that are in the same grade. Scouts attend meetings participate in fun activities, especially camping; they go on trips, earn awards and overall have a blast!
Adventure, leadership, service and learning, especially in the outdoors, have remained essential to the Greenwich Scouting experience since its inception in 1912. Nearly 2,000 local youth participate in fun programs, like CUB FUN DAY, run by 300 dedicated volunteers, all of which help prepare local boys and girls for life. With over 18 partnering organizations and Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Exploring opportunities in Greenwich, Connecticut, there’s never been a better time to join the Scouting community.
