Bruce Museum Presents Antarctic Lecture

A lecture on Antarctic at the Bruce Museum November 18. Don't miss the fabulous exhibition on Antarctic also on view at the museum.

Margie Turrin, Coordinator at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, will present West Meets East in a Unique Antarctic Voyage on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 pm at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT.

In late fall 2013, a small group from Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory traveled to the Antarctica Peninsula with The Antarctic Forum, an interdisciplinary group of Chinese leaders and elites. Turrin will discuss how the magic of Antarctica served as a backdrop for conversations on entering a new era for Antarctica, with China and the world moving towards environmental conservation, harmonious social development, and societal responsibility.

Doors open at 6:30 pm for a reception with light refreshments and open galleries, and the lecture begins at 7:00 pm. Reservations are required by calling 203-413-6757.
