Can You Help a Greenwich Child Learn to Read?
The Greenwich United Way needs volunteers for its Reading champions program.

Do you have some free time in the afternoons?
If so, then head directly to the Greenwich United Way. Their Reading Champions literacy program for elementary schoolers is in need of additional tutors for its after-school sites.
A partnership program with Greenwich Public Schools, Reading Champions trains volunteers to work for an hour, one-on-one, once a week to help a child improve reading and comprehension skills. There are currently wait lists at three afternoon locations as additional tutors are being sought.
