Celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday at the Greenwich Library's Children's Room

'Oh The Places You'll Go' with the events planned for throughout the day.

Greenwich youngsters have the opportunity to participate in the Read Across America program at the Greenwich Library’s Children’s Room on Monday afternoon for a Dr. Seuss birthday celebration.

The Children’s Room is planning special crafts all day and a storytime at 4 p.m. Children will be able to participate in the reading this year’s selection Oh the Places You’ll Go, and can pledge the ‘Reader’s Oath’, to read every day.

The programs are part of the Children’s Services participation in the National Education Association’s year-round reading motivation and awareness project, Read Across America, that kicks off with a celebration of reading on March 2, the birthday of the children’s author, Theodore Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss.
