Driver Is Accused of Failing to Stop for Greenwich Cops and Driving into Port Chester
Driving under the influence is just one of the charges the man is facing.

A man who Greenwich Police say wouldn’t stop for officers checking out a report of an erratic driver, and then drove across the border into Port Chester, NY is facing a several charges including driving under the influence.
It all apparently started about 9 p.m. Jan. 4 when police received a report of motorist driving erratically on West Putnam Avenue, according to a police report. The man “failed to stop for Greenwich Police officers prior to entering Port Chester,” according to the report.
Officers applied for and received an arrest warrant charging the man with driving under the influence, failure to stop when signaled, failure to maintain proper lane, failure to disengage signal and four counts of unsafe lane change/failing to signal, according to the police report.

On Jan. 21 at 11 p.m., Jorge R. Parra, 51, of 169 Grace Church St., Port Chester, surrendered at police headquarters. Parra was released after posting $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
