Fall Fun, Food and Going Wild in Greenwich This Weekend
The sunny weather forecast is perfect for all of these outdoor events this weekend.

The first full weekend of fall is looking pretty good — sunny weather with temperatures hovering in the low 80s and a cornucopia of activities around Greenwich for folks of all ages and interests.
Here’s the National Weather Service’s forecast:
- Friday: Sunny, with a high near 77. North wind 10 to 13 mph.
- Friday night: Clear, with a low around 55. North wind around 6 mph.
- Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 82. North wind around 7 mph.
- Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 57. Calm wind.
- Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
- Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.
- Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
- Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.
- Tuesday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

The fourth annual GREENWICH WINE+FOOD FESTIVAL presented by Serendipity magazine (www.greenwichwineandfood.com) and benefits Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, is happening Friday and Saturday, at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. FRIDAY: Most Innovative Chefs Gala will feature the 2014 Most Innovative Chef winners from restaurants across Fairfield and Westchester Counties serving an incredible tasting menu. Special guests will include Geoffrey Zakarian and Jean-Georges. The evening will also include elite wines, premium liquor, an exclusive auction and a live musical performance by Marshall Tucker Band. SATURDAY: Culinary Village and Southern Bash: This full day event offers tastings and demonstrations from more than ninety food, wine, spirits and product vendors. Guests will enjoy culinary demonstrations by celebrity chefs and local talent, sommelier presentations, a beer garden, celebrity chef book signings, the third annual Burger Battle, BBQ Pit Masters’ Tasting Tent and live musical performances by The Bacon Brothers and Alabama. For the first time this year, the event will also include a Top Bartender Showdown, Food Truck Corner and a special ticketed event, Tequila and Tostadas hosted by Aarón Sánchez. An exciting two-day nature festival celebrating of the annual hawk migration passing overhead at Audubon Greenwich’s “Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch”. The Greenwich Land Trust’s 15th Annual Family Fundraiser
Go Wild! will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Greenwich Polo Field at Conyers Farm on North Street. There will be bungee jumping, trampoline, a petting zoo, a rock wall, hot air balloon rides, music, giant maze, birds of prey exhibit, sack races, mini golf, autumn crafts, and much more. Enormous hot air balloons will give GLT supporters a spectacular view of the expansive 62-acre preserve surrounding them. Tickets start at $30 for children and $60 for adults.
