Eight Greenwich HS rugby team members chosen for High School All-American camp.

The Greenwich High School rugby team was well-represented during the recent High School All-American Rugby Camp.
Eight members of the Cardinals team traveled to Arizona the last week of December.
Seniors Jack Freiheit, Michael McTiernan and Jack Weigold; juniors Luke Bienstock, Parker Kelly and Soh Nakayama, and sophomores Patrick McTiernan and Ian Pearson, all trained and competed in scrimmages at the Grande Sports Academy in Casa Grande, AZ.

The HSAA invited 130 boys from across the country to participate in the camp, which serves as the final pool from which to choose members of the High School All-American Rugby Team.
GHS Rugby Captain, Jack Weigold, says, “It is great to see that Greenwich High School has finally been recognized as one of the most elite rugby teams in the nation.

This year the HSAA will have events in Las Vegas, England, France, Belgium, and Argentina.
