The two Greenwich stores were sold in July by A&P after the grocery company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Days later Acme Markets announced it would acquire 76 A&P stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania under the A&P, Food Emporium and Pathmark banners.
