Greenwich Post To Cease Print Edition

Hersam Acorn Newspapers announced Monday that it will no longer print three of its local newspapers; only online versions will be published.

Hersam Acorn newspapers announced Monday that it will cease the print publication of its Greenwich Post, Fairfield Sun and Valley Gazette newspapers.

In a “message to our valued readers” posted on each of those respective newspaper’s websites, Hersam Acorn Chief Operating Officer Martin Hersam said, “This was a difficult decision, but despite having an extremely talented and dedicated staff there was not adequate advertising to support continued publication.”

Hersam said that each of the publications will maintain an online presence. It was not immediately known what impact the decision would have on staffing.
