Greenwich Restaurants, Hotels Earn AAA Four Diamond Awards

The pair of restaurants and two hotels continue their streak of earning the awards the recognize excellent service, amenities.

Two Greenwich restaurants and a pair of Greenwich hotels have received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond ratings that are given to outstanding restaurants and lodgings that AAA recognizes annually for world-class service, facilities and amenities.

Each year, AAA inspectors visit more than 58,000 establishments across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, using the Diamond rating system to guide AAA members when choosing places to stay and eat. Of that number, just 3.9% receive a Four Diamond.

According to the Northeast, the two AAA Four Diamond Restaurants in
Greenwich are Rebeccas on Glenville Road and Thomas Henckelmann on Shore Road.

The AAA Four Diamond Lodgings awards were earned by The Homestead Inn – Thomas Henckelmann on Shore Road and the Hyatt Regency – Greenwich on East Putnam Avenue in Old Greenwich.

Rebeccas is owned by Rebecca Kirhoffer and her husband Reza Khorshidi who is chef of the restaurant they opened at 265 Glenville Rd. in 1997. They have received the Four Diamond Award for four years, according to AAA Northeast.

Thomas Henckelmann and his wife Theresa purchased The Homestead Inn in Greenwich’s Belle Haven neighborhood in 1997 where they operate both the inn and the restaurant that bears his name. Both the inn and restaurant have received the Four Diamond Award for 10 years, according to AAA Northeast.

The Hyatt Regency Greenwich has received the Four Diamond Award for 12 years.
