School officials have decided whether to hold classes on Monday.

Here is what Whitby School posted on their website: “Today, Monday February 9th 2015, due to the weather predictions for the rest of today, there is growing concern for safe passage not only to school but also from school to home at the end of the day. As your safety is of paramount concern to us we will be closed today and will revert to an eLearning Day.”

And from Greenwich Academy: “Due to worsening driving conditions and consultation with the Town of Greenwich, Greenwich Academy will be closed today.”

Private schools in Greenwich will have a 90-minute delay in opening on Monday.

According to announcements on their websites, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Brunswick School, Greenwich Academy, Carmel Academy, The Stanwich School, Greenwich Country Day, and Eagle Hill schools will open 90-minutes late.

The Whitby School will open at 9:30 a.m.

Also, the parents networking coffee and the headmaster town hall meeting scheduled for Monday at Greenwich Country Day have been cancelled.
