Several levels of tickets have gone on sale for the 2015 Greenwich Town Party that will be held at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. Sponsors packages, neighbor tickets and donations from town residents and local businesses provide the majority of party funding each year, allowing more people to attend. Thanks to the continued generosity of sponsors and donors, the community ticket prices have been reduced to a fraction of what they would have been for such a large event.
The GTP headliner and bands will be announced in 2015. For more information on sponsorship packages and tickets for the 2015 GTP, please visit the web site at greenwichtownparty.org.
Greenwich Town Party to Celebrate Local Stories of Community, Generosity
The Greenwich Town Party (GTP) also has launched the GTP Community Heroes Campaign, an initiative that celebrates the people who exemplify the generous spirit of Greenwich and what makes some 60,000 residents proud to call it their hometown. Greenwich residents will have the opportunity to recognize the remarkable people who touch their lives and enrich their community – from a friend or neighbor to a teacher, coach, doctor or firefighter. Unsung heroes are often silent strengths in the community, and this year the GTP would like to voice their contributions.
One hundred heroes will be chosen at random throughout the year to receive a pair of tickets to the 2015 Greenwich Town Party to celebrate being an integral part of the fabric of Greenwich. Every nominated hero will be recognized publicly at this year’s event.
Greenwich residents and businesses can submit stories of local heroes via email, GTPheroes@greenwichtownparty.org or any GTP social media platform with the hashtag #gtpheroes [Facebook facebook.com/GreenwichTownParty, Twitter Twitter.com/greenwichtown, Instagram: Instagram.com/GreenwichTownParty]. Nominees will be showcased on the GTP web site at greenwichtownparty.org/heroes.
The Greenwich Town Party is an annual, day-long family festival held on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Since 2011, the GTP has brought the town together to celebrate Greenwich pride and the spirit of giving with music, food, and family activities, which organizers describe as a “giant block party.” The goal of the GTP is to encourage community spirit that extends throughout the year.
About the Greenwich Town Party
Sponsored by the Greenwich Town Party, Inc., a non-profit organization qualifying as a public charity under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the party is a volunteer-supported community event. The GTP is created entirely by the people of Greenwich, for the people of Greenwich. Substantial donations from town residents and local businesses provide the majority of party funding each year, allowing more people to attend. Thanks to the continued generosity of sponsors and donors, the ticket prices have been reduced to a fraction of what they would have been for such a large event.
