Trailer Disconnects from Truck Hauling It; Forces Car onto I-95 Median
The crash occurred Monday at Exit 4 in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich.

Update: 4:05 p.m.:
Miraculously, no one was seriously injured when the cargo trailer being hauled on southbound I-95 disconnected from the truck tractor pulling it and slammed into a passenger car, forcing the car onto the Jersey barrier in the center of the highway in Cos Cob Monday morning.
When Greenwich firefighters arrived at the scene of the crash — reported at 11:22 a.m. — the female driver of the car already had climbed out of the vehicle, according to Greenwich Fire Lt. Tom Lennart. The driver was taken to an area hospital, Lennart said.
