How Green is Your Thumb? Greenwich Community Gardens Offers Opportunities To Find Out

Community garden sign-ups, tours scheduled for this weekend at 2 locations in town.

Greenwich residents who are interested in joining one of the two Greenwich Community Gardens —including returning community gardeners — can attend the one of the Garden Plot Sign-up Days, to secure their garden plots for the 2015 season.

The sessions will be held this weekend.

The Armstrong Court Community Garden is located on the western end of town and the Bible Street Community Garden is located in Cos Cob. Both gardens offer tool sheds filled with garden tools, wheelbarrows, irrigation and raised garden beds filled with organic soil and compost. Garden classes are available at both locations. The Bible Street Garden also offers Universal Access “double-raised” Garden Beds for those who have limited mobility but would like to garden in a community of gardeners.
