Kristen Marie Faugno, 27; Cos Cob Resident

Kristen Marie Faugno, of Cos Cob, passed away peacefully at a hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on Oct. 22, 2014. She was 27.

She was born on Oct. 3, 1987 in Merritt Island, FL.

Kristen was diagnosed at seven months old with cystic fibrosis. At the age of 23, Kristen ventured out to California and received a double lung transplant a year later. She was so full of life, laughter and love. Her beautiful smile and huge heart touched every person she crossed paths with. Kristen enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her father, Joseph Faugno and stepmother Maria Faugno, her mother, Robin Parelli and stepfather Frank Parelli; her sister Nicole La Luna (Lee Jay); her grandparents, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave, Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Riverside. Burial will be private.
