Greenwich Police say the tools were stolen from a construction site earlier this year.

A man is facing third-degree larceny and third-degree criminal trespass charges in connection with the theft of $5,000 worth of construction tools earlier this year.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the tools were stolen from a work van at a construction site on Andrews Road on April 30. Police were notified of the theft when Benjamin Gottlieb, 23, of 6 Bishop Park Rd., Pound Ridge, NY, was stopped by Stamford Police on May 1. He was arrested for possession of heroin by Stamford Police who searched his vehicle and “found a large assortment of construction tools,” according to the report.
