Letter: Neighbor to Neighbor Thanks Community for Holiday Support
Nearly 600 families had a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to the donations made to the Greenwich food pantry.

To the editor:
Neighbor to Neighbor would like to thank the many generous donors who have made the holiday giving season so special for our clients, from Kings Food Markets to a family who dropped off dozens of brand new children’s pajamas to our clothing room last week.
This year almost 600 local families received turkeys and Thanksgiving dinners thanks to Kings, St. Michael’s Church, Greenwich High School, Western Middle School, St. Catherine’s Church and many individuals and additional Greenwich Public Schools.

Neighbor provides clothing, weekly groceries, linens, books and diapers to thousands of local residents each year. The numbers who rely on us for basic living essentials grows every year. In fact, a recent report by the Connecticut United Ways calculates that 17% of Greenwich residents are working but unable to earn enough to survive without public or private assistance. Neighbor to Neighbor is grateful to be a part of such a special and generous community responding to those in need.
Thank you.
