Hudson Valley Restaurant Week will be held March 11- 24 and with more than 150 restaurants participating, diners will have a wide variety of cuisines from which to choose. Several local restaurants are participating this year; six located in Rye, and three located in Port Chester.
Here is a taste of what these top restaurants are offering for the $20.95 prix fixe lunch and $29.95 dinner.
Purchase Street's Italian eatery, Aurora, is offering lunch specials like goat cheese fritters, P.E.I mussels and red curry cream and homemade ricotta gnoochi. On its dinner menu, you’ll find sucrine/red watercress salad, baby beets and dried strawberries, scalloppine of monkfish with roasted fennel, ligurian olives and steamed cous cous and, for dessert, Tiramisu Rum soaked ladyfingers. These are only a few of several options for the three course meals.
La Panetiere, a French restaurant on Purchase Street is participating as well, but has not yet posted its menu. Frankie and Johnnie’s Steakhouse, Morgan’s Fish House and Ruby’s Oyster Bar and Bistro are also participating but have not posted menus.
The an American restaurant, is offering starters like New England clam chowder and P.E.I. Mussels as starters; pecan wasbi salmon and Portobello and spinach ravioli for entrées; and brownie sundaes and chocolate marquis for dessert. RGB is also offering a brunch menu at the price of the lunch prix fixe menu, $20.95.
In Port Chester, Il Sogno Restaurant (Italian) and Sonora Restaurant (Modern Latin) will also participate in the annual event. They too have not posted menus.
Tarry Lodge is offering starters like wild hive farms polenta with local mushrooms and aceto Balsamico; and venison, braised pork shoulder and tagliatelle for entres and crown maple syrup cheesecake or Hazelnut semi-fredo with sweet and salty carmelized pears for dessert.
