Patriot National Bank Welcomes Kenneth M. Eckert

Former Greenwich banker Kenneth M. Eckert is named vice president of commercial lending.

Patriot National Bank proudly announces the addition of Kenneth M. Eckert to their lending team as Vice President, Commercial Lending, reporting to Richard A. Muskus, Jr. Based in the Fairfield office, he will be covering the Greater Westport-Fairfield-Bridgeport market. A Fairfield resident, Ken is a seasoned banker who brings a wealth of commercial lending and business development experience throughout a career that spans more than 30 years.

During the 1970s and 1980s, Ken served as First Vice President of Connecticut Bank and Trust Co.’s Loan Production Office in New York City. While there, he managed an entire spectrum of accounts and developed new business from Fortune 500 companies in the greater metropolitan area.

In 1986 Ken went on to Bankers Trust Company in Greenwich where he managed a lending team, developing and maintaining a portfolio of loans from high net worth individuals throughout New England.

In 1990, Ken moved to Shawmut Bank Connecticut, N.A., as Vice President of a Special Lending Group, responsible for developing residential construction loans; and later, as Vice President in the Private Banking Division, managed a lending unit catering to the medical, legal, accounting and business professional segments.

From 1995 to 2000, Ken was the Business Development Officer at Fairfield County Savings Bank, where he developed residential mortgage loans.

From 2000 to 2014, Ken was a Vice President at Connecticut Community Bank, N.A., where he developed and administered a loan portfolio for a new branch office in Westport.

Ken served in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant.

Ken earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics at Hobart College; a Masters of Business Administration in Finance at St. John’s University College of Business. He also attended the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management, Amos Truck School, Dartmouth College, where he received an Executive Award.
