Phyllis Moss Kellogg Hotz, Charter Member of the Junior League of Greenwich, Long-Time Greenwich Resident

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Feb. 21.

Phyllis Moss Kellogg Hotz passed away February 16, 2015.

Born in Utica, NY, she married her beloved David in 1953 and soon moved to Greenwich where they raised their three wonderful children, Pamela Hotz Breves, David Prindiville Hotz, Jr., and Ross Walcott Hotz.

They and their children, Jason, Nicole, Christopher, Michael, Allison, and Emily will cherish memories of homemade dilly beans, a vast collection of mice, Christmas Jack Horner Pies, ready treats and open arms when they came to visit.

A charter member of the Junior League of Greenwich and recipient of the Betty Hinckley Award in 2000, Phyllis was an active volunteer with many organizations including the high school, hospital, and First Presbyterian Church for fifty years and was loved and honored by those she worked with and served.

She was a true and gentle friend, always ready to help when things were difficult. She will be missed by her circles of friends and at her table at Belle Haven’s summer pool nights.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandson Timothy, and her niece and nephews.

Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 1 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 3 PM.
