Serious Car Crash Under Investigation In Greenwich: Police
Police said they responded to a single-car crash on the western side of town Sunday night.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating a serious car crash that occurred Sunday night on the western side of town.
At approximately 9:23 p.m., on March 31, dispatch received an emergency call reporting a single-car crash in the intersection of King Street at Glenville Street.
First responders found an unresponsive driver who was taken to an area hospital for immediate medical treatment, police said in a news release Monday morning.

A preliminary investigation showed that the car was heading north on King Street and, for an unknown reason, left the roadway and struck a stone wall at the northeast corner of the intersection, police said.
"At this time, investigators believe that a medical episode may have been a contributing factor to the crash," police said.

Details on the driver and the extent of their injuries were not immediately available from police Monday morning.
The roadway was closed for several hours Sunday night but it has re-opened.
