Jean devoted herself to her family and friends and will always be remembered for her selflessness and tremendous strength. Her quick wit, gift of gab and compassion for helping others will be deeply missed.
Early in life she worked in the Finance Department at Jamaica Refrigeration in Queens, New York where she met her husband. After getting married and having children, she stayed at home to raise them and enjoyed volunteering at school. Her love for people spanned all generations, with a fondness for the elderly, especially the residents of Nathaniel Witherell, where she volunteered for more than 35 years. She derived great pleasure from visiting those who did not have family and sneaking treats to those who had a sweet tooth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
