WEATHER UPDATE: Here We Snow Again Greenwich

Enjoy the sunshine today — it’s probably the last time we’re going to see it until early next week, according to the National Weather Service.

The weekend is expected to bring a chance of snow Saturday and Sunday, continuing through Monday night. Early Sunday morning, there’s a chance of snow before changing to a mix of snow and rain, and then rain the afternoon. But that rain will change back to snow late Sunday night and continue into Monday. The good news is that accumulations shouldn’t be any more than a few inches.

WTNH meteorologist Gil Simmons says the approaching storm system “is looking less impressive.”

The culprit on Friday and Saturday will be winds. Even though the temperatures will be in the low 20s Friday, the wind will make it feel like 0 to 10 degrees and in the teens on Saturday.

And skies won’t be clear again until Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Here’s the full forecast:

• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values between zero and 10. West wind 7 to 14 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. West wind 5 to 8 mph.
• Saturday: A chance of light snow, mainly after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Light and variable wind becoming west around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Sunday: A chance of snow before 9am, then a chance of rain and snow between 9am and noon, then rain likely after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Sunday Night: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
• Monday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Monday Night: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
• Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
