Weekend Opening for The Griff

Local duffers who’ve been champing at the bit to dust off their golf clubs and swing into spring finally will get their chance.

The Griffith E. Harris Golf Course will open for the 2015 season on Saturday at 7:30 a.m., the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Department announced Thursday afternoon.

There will be a holiday weekend greens fee special of $26 for residents and guests on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.

Tee times for both days will be on a first come basis or by calling the Administration Office at 203-531-8253 on Saturday after 7:30 a.m. The course will close at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The official season opening for The Griff will be Monday, April 6. All seasonal greens fees will apply and the Tee Time Reservation System will be available to all 2015 members. Click here for more information on fees and membership.

The pro shop, driving range and the Fairways restaurant also will be open.
