The annual Wreath Making Workshop at Brooksvale Park proved as popular as ever Saturday as dozens of people made their own wreaths from branches collected around the park.
The three sessions held throughout the day were fundraisers for the Friends of Brooksvale Park's campaign to build a new animal barn at the park. The workshops raised about $700 toward the barn, which will be matched by a grant that matches up to the first $50,000 in contributions to the $95,000 project.
They are closing in on that $50,000 mark, Asst. Park Ranger Kirsten Walker said, and hope to have it by early next year.
