Drug Dealer Arrested With 100s of Bags of Heroin: Police
He was placed under arrest for various narcotics related charges.
HARTFORD, CT - Police have arrested a suspected heroin dealer from Hartford.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and a search warrant for the apartment in the 100 block of Barker Street.
Before executing the warrants, detectives conducted a narcotics operation where they obtained information that the suspect, identified as Juan Rivera, 27, was at a hotel in East Hartford, unpacking large amounts of heroin, police said.

Rivera was seen exiting a hotel room and entering his vehicle, police said. He was subsequently stopped and found in possession of 470 bags of heroin.
According to police, the search warrant was executed at his Barker Street apartment where 81 bags of heroin and packaging material were recovered.

Rivera consented to let detectives search the East Hartford hotel room, police said. Detectives from East Hartford PD and agents from FBI task force conducted a search of the hotel room and located 52 grams of raw heroin and packaging material, police said.
He was placed under arrest for the outstanding arrest warrant and various narcotics related charges. Police said an arrest warrant would be applied for Rivera by detectives in East Hartford.
During the investigation into Rivera, detectives previously seized 400 bags of heroin, police said.
He was charged with possession of narcotics, improper use of registration and possession with intent to sell narcotics.
