Woman Calls 911 Over Wrong Pizza Order

A woman wanted police to get involved when a Hartford pizza place made a mistake with her order and wouldn't refund her money.

HARTFORD, CT — Opening up a box of freshly made pizza and finding out they got your order wrong is certainly a frustrating experience, but don’t expect police to get involved if you call 911.

A woman recently called 911 to complain that Empire Pizza on New Britain Avenue in Hartford got her order wrong and wouldn’t give her money back so she wanted police to get it back for her, according to NBC Connecticut.

NBC reports the dispatcher told the woman it wasn’t a police matter and 911 is only for life-threatening emergencies and to take it up with the pizza shop.

The restaurant told NBC they would have replaced the woman’s order (which was a small half-cheese, half-bacon but came with hamburger on half instead of bacon) but she said that she had already eaten half of the pizza.
