Head-On Crash in Ledyard Causes Serious Injuries

The accident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

A head-on collision took place on Whalehead Road in Ledyard Wednesday evening. The two people driving the cars involved were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to NBC Connecticut.

Ledyard resident Arthur Lipman, 72, was traveling northbound on Whalehead Road. He allegedly drifted into the other lane and struck another car head-on.

Marianne Brumfield, 50, of the Gales Ferry section of Ledyard, was reportedly brought to a local hospital, then transported by air to a different hospital.
