Why A Helicopter Will Be Flying Low in Ledyard

Eversource will be conducting aerial, infrared inspections of power lines in Ledyard using a helicopter.

The inspections will begin the week of August 24th, toward the end of the week.

“Weather-permitting, the inspections will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. using a blue Jet Ranger helicopter with a silver stripe and registration number N1431W,” according to the Ledyard Police Department. “The helicopter will be flying low and hovering at times. Don’t be alarmed!”
