Car's Front End Blows Up In Manchester Monday Evening
A car burst into flames with a slight explosion in a Manchester parking lot Monday.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester firefighters made quick work of a car fire that broke out in a commercial parking lot Monday evening.
But it was still a spectacular scene.
The fire broke out at about 7 p.m., officials said.

A video posted on social media by fire officials showed the car in the Shop Rite plaza on Spencer Street. It was already on fire when emergency crews arrived, but there was a slight explosion before they could douse it with water.
It didn't take long for the flames to subside, but it was quite the effort.
