Manchester Man Loses Bid to Overturn Murder Conviction

The man was convicted in 2009 of the murder which happened three years earlier.

An appeal to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction of a former Manchester resident was denied by the state Appellate Court Monday, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Chadwick J. St. Louis, 44, has been serving a 50-year prison sentence after being convicted of murdering his former friend, Christopher Petrozza, in the fall of 2006.

Petrozza’s body was found buried in a shallow grave behind St. Louis’ Lake Street home in June 2007. St. Louis was convicted of murder by a three-judge panel in 2009 and sentenced to prison.

St. Louis had attempted to have his conviction overturned on grounds of ineffective representation by his attorney.
