In addition to raising five children, Doris, known as "Mickey" to close friends, worked as a nurse’s aide at Mansfield Training Center and later at Bidwell Manor. She and Bill spent some time living in Florida and Rhode Island after retirement.

Doris was also predeceased by her second husband, Frank Duncan, whom she married in 1999. She is survived by her brother Harold Moore of Texas, five children, Bob Dennen and wife Paula, Bill Dennen and wife Marlene, Barbara Amodio and husband Frank, Debra Jean and husband Wayne, Nancy Thibeault and husband Don, and step-son Bill Duncan and wife Bev as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.
