Sunday, June 1st - It's ART SHOW Day - CT Art School
Today is the big day - bring your cameras and stop by the art show at the Village at Buckland Court, 432 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT from 1:00-6:00 pm.
The show has a Dr. Seuss theme - "Oh, The Places You'll Go". Throughout the show you'll see art inspired by Dr. Seuss. We are expecting some special visitors - The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Sam I Am, and the Grinch. They would love to pose for photos with you or with the incredible art at the show.
Artists - remember to wear your "Artist" button. Bring your friends and family and come support the artists at this community event. Our show features work from all the artists (approximately 250) in our school plus art created by students in the Mother Goose Full Day Kindergarten program, paintings from the residents at the Village at Buckland Court, and walls of art from our 3 graduating seniors. The show is a community celebration of the arts.
We will be providing refreshments during the opening. This year we are asking for donations to support Miss Haley one of our teachers. Miss Haley's 26 year old sister unexpectedly passed away and we are hoping to help Haley and her family offset some of the funeral costs. Donations will be accepted at the refreshment table.
The show will be open for approximately two weeks. The gallery at the Village at Buckland Court is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm.
Enjoy the Show! With our thanks and gratitude - Miss Sharon, Miss Doris, Miss Cathy, Miss Haley, and Miss Jocelyn, Connecticut Art School
