UConn Student Found Dead in Campus Dorm

University of Connecticut Police are investigating the untimely death of an economics major.

STORRS, CT — University of Connecticut police said they are investigating the untimely death of a student from Norwalk.

UConn Police were called to Grange Hall shortly before noon on Monday on a report that a student was discovered unresponsive in his room, university spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said.

Medics tried unsuccessfully to revive him, she said. The student has been identified by UConn officials as Sean L. Sullivan, a freshman economics major from Norwalk.

"There were no indications of criminal involvement and there are no safety dangers to others, but the cause of death is not known at this time and will be determined by the state Medical Examiner's Office after an autopsy," Reitz said.

Police are continuing their investigation, she said.
