Middletown Arrests: Dec. 9-23

The following police reports come from the Middletown Police public information officer. Individuals named here reflect charges filed, never a conviction.

Middletown Arrests: Dec. 9-23

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

Dec. 23

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Victor Rivera, 51, of Newfield Street was involved in a fight with his wife, according to the report, after smashing items in this apartment and fled with a knife, threatening to hurt himself. The wife didn't want to make a statement and he was sent by police to Middlesex Hospital for an evaluation.

Dec. 22

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, VIOLATION RESTRAINING ORDER — At 10:41 a.m., police were called about a Yellow Cab Co. customer, Hector A. Campos, 47, of Ruth Drive, New Britain, who allegedly had a cabbie drive him to the Rushford Center on Silver Street in Middletown and was unable to pay the $54 fare. Police say he told the drive he left his wallet at home and would pay him the next day. Officers later discovered Campos had an outstanding warrant.

THREATENING — At 9:59 a.m., Antoine Lanhan, 22, of Main Street, Centerbrook, was at Middlesex Hospital as a patient committed by police for an emergency exam, the report says, then threatened to kill himself and cut his forearm with a snow scraper. Medical personnel told police he had gotten agitated while being treated, took off his shirt and bandage and threatened a nurse, adding, "it would only take 30 seconds for [him] to snap her and the Middlesex Hospital security staff's necks and leave the hospital." Police say he got into a fighting stance and spit on the floor.

Dec. 16

SUSPENDED LICENSE — Rachel M. Fletcher, 28, of Woodlawn Avenue Extension, Bridgeport, was involved in an accident at Washington and Camp streets.

Dec. 9

NO TAIL LAMPS, TRAVELING FAST, EVADING RESPONSIBILITY — At 11:02 p.m., police stopped Chamali K. Antoine, 32, of Ridgefield Drive on a traffic violation and discovered she had been involved in an accident earlier at Newfield and Washington streets, hitting a guard rail, according to the affidavit. The report says she didn't know she had to report the collision and an investigation revealed major damage to the metal guardrail near Fisher Road.
