PD: Clinton Street Fight Ends With ER Melee

Three city women are facing assault and related charges after Middletown police say a 21-year-old was injured in a fight with her grandmother — and two other family members showed up at the hospital, agitated, as "emotions ran high," according to the report.

On Aug. 30 at 10:12 p.m., police arrived at a disturbance on Clinton Avenue and found a woman with a towel wrapped around her bleeding arm with a five-inch cut, the report says.

The victim said she was inside the apartment when a fight broke out between Niqueasha Hilton, 21, of no certain address, and her grandmother, the report details. Two women pulled Hilton out of the front door to get her away from her grandmother, police say, whom she had pushed hard into a wall while heavily intoxicated.

Hilton allegedly pushed the victim through a plate glass window, cutting her arm, then Hilton punched her hard in the chest, witnesses said.

She was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

At 11 p.m., police were called to the Middlesex Hospital emergency room for "unruly visitors," including Tamisha L. Belin, 22, of Clinton Avenue, cursing and yelling at medical personnel and, without warning, the report says, punched a male staff memberon his head, face and neck several times.

She later admitted, police say, she didn't mean to hurt anyone. She is on probation for third-and first-degree assault, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and threatening. Belin was charged with assault of a public safety officer and disorderly conduct.

Also at 11 p.m., Krarcha T. Holley, 38, of Clinton Avenue, was cursing at medical and security people, the report says, and shoving one; disrupting other patients' care. She was visiting another family member, the report says, that was assaulted an hour earlier, causing "emotions to run high." Holley was charged with disorderly conduct.
