State Representative James Maroney (D-119) announced today that his re-election campaign had qualified for Citizens’ Election Program (CEP) financing.

Representative Maroney has raised over $5,000 from more than 150 small donors from Milford and Orange, and will receive $27,850 in matching campaign funds from the CEP as a result.

Continuing to restore the economy, making Connecticut a more business-friendly state and bringing high-wage jobs to Milford and Orange are the pillars of Rep. Maroney’s 2014 re-election campaign.

“I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to run for a second term representing the residents of Milford and Orange," said Representative Maroney. "I’m proud of the work we have done to get Connecticut’s economy back on track, and I look forward to continuing to make great progress. As a small business owner, I know firsthand just how important a full economic recovery is to our state and our citizens, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that Connecticut is once again a prosperous and business-friendly state.”

Paul Hoffman, President of Orange Research, a manufacturing company located in Milford, and Past President of the Milford Chamber of Commerce said he was thrilled that Rep. Maroney was seeking a second term.

“Over the last two years, James has been a champion for the manufacturing industry and Connecticut's small businesses. He is a fantastic advocate for Milford and Orange residents. I look forward to working with him for another two years.”

Rep. James Maroney, a lifelong Milford resident, has represented the 119th Assembly District since January 2013. Maroney currently lives in north Milford with his wife, Jen, and son, Jay.
