Craig Giannini, 32, of Seabreeze Avenue in Milford, was charged May 29 with failure to drive right and evading responsibility. According to police, officers received a complaint regarding a motor vehicle accident on Melba Street. An investigation found that a vehicle struck a tree and left the scene of the accident, police said. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied on Pond Point Avenue. Gianni was later identified as the driver, which resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest. A bond amount of $500 was set and is scheduled to appear in court June 26.
Nicholas Kopas, 23, of Grand Street in Milford, was charged May 30 with second-degree breach of peace. According to police, officers responded to a complaint regarding a disturbance at a Grand Street residence. And investigation led to the arrest of Kopas, who is accused of tackling a relative to the ground, suffering minor injuries. He was released to appear in court on the same day.
