· Drink water in between drinks to pace yourself and stay hydrated

If you are hosting a party

· Push the food, don’t push the drinks

· Serve plenty of non-alcoholic beverages

· Plan people movement – make your guests meet and chat with each other

· Make sure you decide an ending time for your party and choice a time to stop serving alcohol

· Don’t let anyone drive home who has been drinking - you may have to open your house if someone is to impaired to drive

· Pace yourself – you are responsible for everyone in your home. Be alert to your guests
