Police Reports: Marijuana, a Stolen Watch and Stalking

The following information was supplied by the Monroe Police Department. No arrested person is guilty until so judged in a court of law.

Harassment and Stalking

Richard F. Fredette, 56, of Stratford Avenue in Stratford was arrested on a warrant Monday charging him with second-degree harassment and stalking. He was released on $25,000 bond for an April 3 court date.

On Feb. 18, Fredette's ex-girlfriend, a 47-year-old Monroe resident, complained that Fredette kept calling her and police told him to stop or he could possibly be arrested. Phone records showed that he ignored the order, according to police, and a warrant was applied for.

A Stolen Watch

A Sprucebrook Terrace man reported his $3,000 Breitling watch stolen Monday. He believes it was taken by a guest during a party he held at his home two weeks ago, according to the report.

A Narcotics Arrest

A noise complaint led to the narcotics arrest of a youthful offender at 1:23 a.m. on March 31.

An officer responding to the complaint found a vehicle parked on Benedict Road with three 17-year-old males sitting inside. When he asked them to open the window, smoke came out, police said.

Marijuana, several small plastic bags and a scale were inside the vehicle, police said.

The driver, a Monroe teen, said everything belonged to him and he was charged with possession of less-than-four-ounces of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was released to his parents on a promise to appear in court on April 10.
