Warner International Playwright Festival Coming to the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre
July 12-14 at the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre

Torrington, CT - The first Warner Theatre International Playwright Festival will take place in the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre July 12-14, 2012 at 8pm each evening. They are one-act plays. A ticket buys you the evening of whatever plays are scheduled. $15 for one evening of plays, $25 for 2 evenings and $35 for 3 evenings.
The Festival is a celebration of new works by playwrights from across the country and around the globe. Festival director, Charlene Donaghy, a Kennedy award-winning playwright, who has organized numerous other festivals around the country has announced that 11 one-act plays have been selected from the 272 plays submitted. Submissions came from across the United States and Canada and as far away as Ireland, Wales, Australia, Costa Rica, and China.The Warner has just learned that winning playwright, Gayle Malloy of Western Australia will be one of the playwrights making the trip to Torrington for the festival.
The 11 plays selected will be shown over the course of three themed evenings giving patrons the opportunity to see 4-5 plays with each ticket purchase.

The Festival gives playwrights a forum for production of their one-act plays that engage and entertain audiences through exploration of the human experience and the human spirit.
