After eight decades of the Buckmiller Family owning the Buckmiller Funeral Home in Naugatuck it has been sold, the Waterbury Republican-American reports.
However, the funeral home will remain just that. But now it will be called the Buckmiller, Thurston and Mengacci Funeral Home.
Terry Buckmiller, who has been involved in the Naugatuck funeral home for 52, years, sold it to Jeffrey and Melissa Thurston and business partner, Jeffrey Mengacci, the Republican-American reports.
The funeral home made news in 2009 when two bodies were mistakenly swapped and the wrong woman was cremated, the paper reports.
