Public Hearing Wednesay on Privatizing Naugatuck's Trash Collection
The borough is holding a public hearing Wednesday night on the potential privatization of Naugatuck’s residential trash and recycling collection.

Residents will hear from Public Works Director James Stewart, Recycling Coordinator Sheila Baummer and Borough Attorney Edward Fitzpatrick explaining the various proposals and contractual arrangements for dealing with the borough’s sanitation, municipal solid waste (household garbage) and recycling operations.

The floor will be opened to public comment after the presentations, during which time residents can ask questions and offer their opinions of the proposals.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Hall of Burgesses in Town Hall.
